CNC MACHINING
CNC machining is a process of cutting unwanted material from a solid block of raw material or from a pre-existing part.
CNC offers much higher accuracy than any RP process, and it can produce large and/or complex metal and plastic parts in your material of choice.
It is limited, however, in the range of shapes that it can produce in one piece.
Features and Benefits of CNC Machining
- CNC is excellent for functional metal and plastic parts, prototypes, models, patterns and tooling
- Parts made with CNC offer very tight tolerances, sharp detail and good surface finishing
- Simple parts can be produced inexpensively
- Rapid prototypes can be CNC machined as a finishing step, to improve detail, accuracy and finish
